Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
Location: Gainesville, FL
Agency: Towne U.S. LLC
Pay: $1,672 per week
Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP

About the Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team for a travel assignment. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will provide high-quality therapy services designed to help patients improve functional abilities, increase independence, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Provide therapeutic activities and interventions to improve ADLs, fine motor skills, coordination, strength, balance, and functional performance
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Assist patients in developing skills needed to safely perform daily activities and maximize independence
• Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, assistive equipment, home exercise programs, and safety strategies
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Participate in care planning and assist with discharge planning as appropriate
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional therapy environment
• Adapt quickly to new facilities, teams, documentation systems, and patient populations

Requirements

• Required: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Required: Active COTA license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain
• Previous clinical experience preferred
• Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments
